Price Recovery with Rising Costs in Silicon Wafer and Other Segments

On July 9th, several silicon wafer enterprises raised their prices, with an 8%-11.7% increase across different sizes. Previously, starting from April, affected by the decline in downstream demand, silicon wafer prices had been falling continuously. From early April to now, the drop has reached 22%-31%, and the silicon wafer segment has been in losses for nearly half a year. This price increase will help recover part of the profits.

Recently, the photovoltaic industry has been promoting "anti-involution", with prices rising in various segments: this week, the quoted price of polysilicon increased significantly by 25%-35%, ranging from 45,000 to 50,000 yuan per ton. Although the transaction price of dense materials was 37,000 yuan per ton, new orders remained limited; earlier, component enterprises had already raised their selling prices. It is expected that industry prices will gradually return to normal levels.
